Two Ukrainian Spies Detained in Poland: What We Know About the Case.

Detained Individuals and Their Actions

The arrested individuals are a 34-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man. The investigation revealed that they were collecting data on Poland's military capabilities. In particular, the detainees installed technical surveillance equipment on routes used to transport weapons and equipment to Ukraine, as well as gathered information on Polish military personnel.

At the time of their arrest, they were found to possess a significant amount of communication equipment. Both have been charged with espionage, which carries a punishment of up to eight years in prison. They will remain in custody for the next three months.

Recently, a 17-year-old Ukrainian citizen was also detained in Poland. Polish Interior Minister Tomasz Semonjak noted that the suspect committed acts of sabotage at the direction of Russian intelligence services. He damaged monuments to UPA victims and left anti-Polish graffiti on public buildings, which could lead to escalating tensions between Poles and Ukrainians.
