Local media report that one of the workers who was trapped under the rubble was rescued after a long search, as reported by the BBC and 'Glavcom'.
Rescue teams found the man at 11:00 PM local time, almost 12 hours after the incident. The victim, a citizen of Romania, was taken to the hospital, while another injured person is in critical condition.
Torre dei Conti had not been open to visitors for many years and was undergoing restoration at the time of the collapse. Firefighters were able to establish protective structures around the affected person, which helped him survive the subsequent collapse. This incident occurred on November 3 in the morning at the Imperial Forums in the center of Rome.
