In the Rivne region, the heads of seven medical and social expert commissions were replaced. This was preceded by a corruption scandal. This was reported by the Rivne OVA.

According to the head of the Rivne OVA, Oleksandr Koval, checks are underway in the MSEC. Seven heads were dismissed and replacements were appointed.

“Today, the heads of seven MSECs in the Rivne region have been replaced. Acting officials have been appointed in their place. As for the other medical and social expert commissions in the region, the verification continues. Decisions regarding their heads will be made later,” Koval stated.

Two weeks ago, the SBU uncovered a scheme to evade mobilization through the medical and social expert commission MSEC. Law enforcement officers reported suspicions to three women and seized 14.5 million UAH in various currencies.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky enacted a decision by the National Security and Defense Council, according to which medical and social expert commissions will be liquidated from December 31, 2024. The Ministry of Health will develop legislative changes regarding the assessment of a person's disability. Working groups will also be created to verify decisions of medical and social expert commissions on the disability of officials of state bodies.

President Zelensky promised systemic and staff responses following scandals with MSEC. National Security and Defense decided to restore justice in the work of medical and social expert commissions.

According to materials from the Security Service, suspicions of committing crimes were received by 64 officials of the MSEC, and more than 4,000 disability conclusions were canceled.

The leadership of the Khmelnytsky regional MSEC center and the regional Pension Fund were exposed in illegal enrichment. During searches, about $6 million in cash was found at their premises.

On October 7, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv imposed a pre-trial measure on the head of the Khmelnytsky region MSEC, Tetyana Krupa. She was taken into custody for 60 days with the possibility of bail in the amount of over 500 million UAH.

The Ministry of Health conducted checks and canceled disability conclusions for 74 conscripts from the Khmelnytsky MSEC.
