An explosion occurred in Russian Orenburg: heat and power plant is on fire.
On the night of April 13, a fire and explosion occurred at the Sakmara heat and power plant in Orenburg, Russia. According to Russian Telegram channels, a certain part of the city was left without electricity.
Local channels report that this may be the result of artificial interference or an attack using drones. Other Russian sources claim that these events are not related to drone attacks.
Earlier, there were reports of a fire at an airfield in the city of Saratov. In this area, pillars of black smoke can be seen. Some Russian Telegram channels published videos of this fire.
Social media in Russia is spreading reports of explosions that preceded the fires.
It is worth noting that on April 10, a Rosneft oil refinery in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur caught fire.
Also, on the night of April 9, drone attacks occurred in various regions of Russia. Explosions took place in Saratov, Krasnodar, and Rostov regions, as well as in areas where kamikaze drones are used for attacks on Ukraine.
In the city of Engels, Saratov region, where the Russian airbase is located, at least five explosions occurred. It is likely that the airbase has once again become a target of an attack, which has happened multiple times before.
Moreover, Russian cities, including Kaluga, Saratov, and Volgograd, have been attacked by drones. The Saratov region is an important area of Russia's gas transportation system.
