A man pardoned by Trump last week for the Capitol riot was shot dead in the U.S.

A law enforcement officer in Indiana shot a man who had been pardoned by President Trump. The shooting occurred during a traffic stop of the suspect on January 26.

According to police, the officer attempted to arrest the suspect, which led to a conflict during which the police officer shot the rebel. Preliminary reports indicate that Hattley was armed and resisted the police. The case is under investigation. The reason for the traffic stop has not been disclosed.

The sheriff's department stated that the deputy was placed on paid leave.

Previously, Hattley was sentenced to six months in prison for trespassing at the Capitol. He recorded his presence in the building on video. President Trump pardoned about 1,500 people connected to the Capitol riots. Most suspects may receive full pardons.
