UHD may lose benefits in 2025: four reasons named by PFU

According to inkorr.com: The Pension Fund of Ukraine warned that combatants may lose their benefits in 2025 under certain conditions. While payments continue automatically, veterans may encounter situations where they will need to contact the fund independently.

According to the PFU, holders of combatant certificates receive benefits without additional requests, but there are several exceptional cases. There are four grounds on which combatants are required to update their data: change of address, change of marital status, increase in the category of beneficiaries, or changes in the list of municipal services. Additionally, an application must be submitted annually to receive benefits for solid fuel.

The greatest risk is for owners of new documents. Individuals with a new passport or combatant certificate have 30 days to update their information, otherwise payments may be stopped.

To update data, one can contact PFU service centers, use postal deliveries, or electronic platforms - the fund's web portal, mobile application, or 'Diia'.

Expansion of the circle of beneficiaries

In December 2024, the government adopted resolution No. 1420, which introduces additional benefits for families of combatants who are in captivity or missing. Compensation for utility services is also provided to families that find themselves in difficult life situations. To receive these benefits, it is necessary to contact the relevant authorities with the required documents.

In addition, there is a housing program for servicemen. Individuals entitled to receive housing from the state can take advantage of this opportunity.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded combatants about the risk of losing benefits in 2025 and about the expansion of the circle of beneficiaries for military families. It is important to timely update data to continue receiving payments and compensation.
