Astronomers have discovered a new planet - Tatooine: it appeared after the dinosaurs.

According to ТСН: Astronomers have found a new planet outside of the Solar System, which appeared approximately 50 million years after the extinction of dinosaurs on Earth.

The study is published in the journal The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

This planet is extremely young by cosmic standards. It orbits two stars that are closer to each other than any other known planets in binary star systems. If you were on this planet, you would be able to see two stars in the sky, similar to the famous scenes from the movie 'Star Wars' on the planet Tatooine.

Scientists confirm that this planet is rare: of the 6000 known worlds outside of the Solar System, only a small fraction orbits two stars. And only a few of these planets have managed to capture images directly.

Astronomers have determined that this planet has impressive dimensions - it is about six times larger than Jupiter.
