Kerch Ferry Crossing Under Fire

According to Espreso.tv: On the night of June 20, 2023, Ukraine launched an attack on the Kerch ferry crossing, air defense systems, and fuel storage facilities, effectively cutting off a key cargo supply line to Crimea. The strike disabled three vehicle ferries. Since October 2022, the Kerch Bridge has been off-limits to trucks, creating major logistical hurdles for delivering supplies to the occupied peninsula.

Fuel Sales Restricted

Additionally, starting May 31, 2023, gasoline sales have been limited across Crimea as part of a broader effort to reduce fuel deliveries to the region. By June 21, 2023, fuel sales at gas stations in Crimea had come to a complete halt. These measures highlight a systematic campaign targeting military assets and fuel infrastructure in the occupied territory.

To ensure public safety, authorities in Sevastopol have banned all mass gatherings. Such actions reflect a pattern of ongoing attacks on military and fuel facilities in occupied Crimea, which have become routine in the context of the ongoing conflict.

The situation in Crimea remains tense, as Ukraine continues to actively undermine the logistical capabilities of the occupying forces. The fuel shortage and ban on public events may signal preparations for further Ukrainian operations aimed at destabilizing the occupation administration. These developments also underscore that the war extends beyond the front lines, encompassing economic and infrastructure warfare.
