At the beginning of January, Russian troops attacked Kyiv, resulting in the death of two people. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко.
According to Tkachенко, cleanup operations have been ongoing since the morning in the aftermath of the strike on the capital. 'I was personally at the sites where the debris is located. Unfortunately, there are already two dead,' he emphasized.
The rescue operation continues in the Pechersk and Svyatoshyn districts.
Meanwhile, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, stated that at least four Shahed drones attacked buildings in central Kyiv. 'Law enforcement and experts are dealing with these matters,' he emphasized.
It is also known that one of the destroyed buildings belongs to the famous Ukrainian neurobiologist Igor Zima. Currently, he is not responding to calls, his acquaintances reported.
It should be noted that Russian drones attacked Kyiv on January 1, resulting in seven people injured, including two pregnant women.
