'National Resistance 2026' Forum
According to Novyny.live: The 'National Resistance 2026' forum brought together 350 participants to discuss the expansion of military training programs for Ukrainian civilians. The event aimed to develop a comprehensive national resistance system that covers all segments of the population. It was organized by the Kyiv Regional Center for Civilian National Resistance Training and the Third Army Corps.
National Resistance System
Ukraine currently operates 20 National Resistance centers, with plans to increase this number to 103. Training at these facilities covers a wide range of areas, including:
- tactical medicine
- firearms handling
- basic engineering skills
- mine safety
- ideological and patriotic education
The Kharkiv region has invested 27 million hryvnias in military training, while in the Kyiv region, over 11,000 civilians have already completed training programs.
“If we had conducted mass civilian combat training for 10 years, the front line would be much closer to the Ukrainian border.”
Andriy Biletsky
Maksym Zhorin emphasized that “civilian training is not about army mobilization,” while Anastasiia Rymar noted that “the goal of today’s event is to build a comprehensive national resistance system.”
The forum marked a significant milestone in creating a system capable of effectively preparing the population for potential challenges facing the country.
Holding the 'National Resistance 2026' forum highlights the growing emphasis on national security and the importance of civilian preparedness in the face of modern threats. The expansion of the National Resistance center network and the involvement of broad segments of the population in training reflects the state's commitment to building a resilient defense system capable of responding to dangers. Such initiatives can help strengthen not only military capacity but also social cohesion across the nation.
