Ukraine may return to power outages: the months named.

The return of power outages is possible in the summer
This summer, power outages may return to Ukraine due to the risk of hourly power outages. Currently, only five out of nine nuclear units are operational in the country, increasing the likelihood of issues in the energy system in July-August.
“That is quite a lot. So far, there is no such heat. And you remember last year, when there was a great heat in June-July, we had serious hourly schedules. They were especially long in Kyiv – up to 8, up to 12 hours,” explained Volodymyr Omelchenko.
Although some of the capacities destroyed by Russians have been partially restored, the situation in the Ukrainian energy system is currently better than in 2024. Therefore, summer in Ukraine may pass without major restrictions, noted Omelchenko.
According to people's deputy Serhiy Nahorniak, in the summer of 2025, some power units will go for repairs, which may lead to a slight electricity deficit on hot late evenings. This may require an increase in electricity imports to avoid supply issues.
Analyzing the material presented, it can be understood that the situation with electricity in Ukraine is quite tense, especially during heat periods. A slight electricity deficit may arise without sufficient generation, which requires attention and potential measures to avoid outages.
