Ukraine chose a representative for Eurovision-2025, Trump talked to Putin: main news of the night.
Last night, the final of the National Selection for Eurovision took place. According to the results of the voting by the audience and the jury, the band Ziferblat became the representative of Ukraine at the international song contest. Singer Masha Kondratenko took the third place. However, singer Khayat, who scored the highest points from the jury, did not make it to the top three after the tally of audience votes.
U.S. President Donald Trump admitted that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine. Trump expressed concern about the casualties and hope for a swift end to the conflict.
The U.S. president also announced an agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky worth 500 million dollars. This agreement is expected to allow the U.S. to gain access to rare earth minerals and gas in Ukraine in exchange for security guarantees in a potential peace deal.
Russia was attacked by drones at night, leading to a temporary restriction on air traffic at several airports. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 35 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russia.
