Ukraine to Receive New Drones and the 'Palyanytsya' Missile: What Will Change on the Front Line
According to TSN.ua: The Defense Forces of Ukraine plan to receive new technological means, including analogs of the Russian drone 'Molniya' and drones controlled via fiber optics. Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed that these decisions were made at the highest level. Among the main goals of implementing new types of weapons is to increase the depth of striking the enemy.
In his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, Mykhailo Fedorov noted that it is urgent to implement new means which will, in particular, increase the effectiveness of combat actions. He emphasized that this technology makes drones immune to the opponent's electronic warfare (EW) means. Currently, 80% of drone supplies are received by a certain number of units, and, according to Fedorov, it is necessary to balance this schedule.
The 'Palyanytsya' Missile and Its Characteristics
In addition to drones, the State Kyiv Design Bureau 'Luch' has developed the cruise missile 'Palyanytsya'. The name of the missile was announced on August 24, 2024, while some of its characteristics were revealed in 2025 at the international MSPO exhibition in Poland. It is known that the range of the 'Palyanytsya' missile is up to 650 km, and the warhead weighs 100 kg.
The introduction of new technologies on the front line can significantly change the course of combat actions, enhancing the capabilities of Ukrainian units in fighting the enemy.
The acquisition of new drones and the cruise missile 'Palyanytsya' is an important step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. In the context of modern combat actions, technological superiority can play a decisive role, especially considering the growing threat from the enemy. The use of new technologies that are immune to electronic warfare can significantly enhance the effectiveness of operations and ensure greater flexibility of Ukrainian forces in responding to challenges on the front line.
