SECI Provides 300 Generators to Bolster Ukraine's Energy Resilience.
SECI Delivers 300 Generators to Aid Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine has received a shipment of 300 generators from the Southeast European Cooperation Initiative (SECI), valued at over €417,000 and with a combined capacity of 1.6 MW. The delivery, which arrived on February 7, is a critical contribution to stabilizing the country's energy systems, which have been systematically targeted. This international aid is vital for maintaining essential services as Ukraine's power grid faces relentless attacks.
Generator Allocation
The generators will be distributed to support critical infrastructure in the following cities:
- Kyiv
- Odesa
- Sumy
- Kherson
- Mykolaiv
- Lviv
They are designated for use in hospitals, maternity wards, schools, kindergartens, and other social service facilities. This allocation aims to ensure the continuity of basic public services for vulnerable populations during the ongoing crisis.
The enemy's attacks on our energy and utility infrastructure remain systematic.
Oleksii Kuleba, Ukrainian government representative
Oleksii Kuleba emphasized the importance of distributed power generation and backup solutions, which enable communities to continue working, providing medical care, educating children, and delivering essential services under extreme duress. 'I thank our SECI partners for their assistance and consistent support of Ukrainian communities,' Kuleba added.
These generators will serve as a crucial resource for sustaining life in regions heavily impacted by the war. This delivery represents another step toward strengthening Ukraine's energy security and supporting the social infrastructure that is fundamental to societal function.
This initiative underscores the vital role of international support amid continued military aggression. The provided equipment will supply necessary power to critical institutions, thereby enhancing local community resilience. Such cooperation during an energy crisis demonstrates solidarity and a commitment to helping Ukraine maintain and restore essential services for its people.
