Ukraine Outpaces Russia in Weapons Manufacturing: Zelenskyy Urges Partners for More Support.
Ukraine’s Breakthrough in Arms Production
According to Espreso.tv: During a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine has reached a new milestone in domestic arms manufacturing. The country is now capable of producing a volume of high-tech weaponry that surpasses Russia’s output. This achievement highlights the growing self-sufficiency of Ukraine’s defense industry amid the ongoing war.
Zelenskyy tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense with intensifying engagement with international partners. He expressed confidence that concrete agreements will be secured to further bolster the nation’s defensive capabilities.
“I expect tangible outcomes—agreements with our partners”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy
The president also stressed that investments in Ukraine’s domestic production are essential for compelling Russia to seek peace.
“Investing in Ukrainian manufacturing means investing in forcing Russia toward peace”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Zelenskyy reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment to its strategy of raising the cost of occupation for the aggressor and limiting Russia’s ability to fund the war. He stated that “Ukraine will continue its policy of increasing the price of occupation for the occupier and restricting Russia’s capacity to finance the war.”
These statements underscore Kyiv’s strategic focus on strengthening its own defense capabilities while actively seeking international backing. By ramping up domestic weapons production, Ukraine aims to reduce reliance on foreign supplies and enhance the effectiveness of its armed forces. This development also signals a significant boost in Ukraine’s defense potential, which could reshape the dynamics of the conflict and future negotiations.
