Zelensky presented Trump with a $90 billion proposal: what the leaders agreed on.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that during a meeting with American leader Donald Trump, he presented him with a proposal to purchase weapons from the US worth over $90 billion. The head of state stated this at a briefing in Washington, according to FREEДОМ citing Financial Times.
'There is indeed a package with our proposals for $90 billion. This is the second part of security guarantees for us. The third part is our drone production. We have an agreement with US President Donald Trump to purchase Ukrainian drones after the export is opened,' said Zelensky.
According to him, the package of American weapons that is currently not in Ukraine is one of the points of security guarantees.
It is worth noting that on August 18, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Washington on an official visit, where he met with White House head Donald Trump. Leaders of leading European countries also arrived in Washington.
