Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha urged G7 states to ramp up pressure on Russia if it continues to simulate diplomacy and avoid direct negotiations at the highest level. He emphasized the necessity of forcing the Kremlin to take real steps toward achieving peace, as there are sufficient levers of influence for this. The European Union is already preparing the 19th sanctions package against the aggressor country. The United States should play a crucial role in this process. An especially important aspect is the further reduction of the maximum price on Russian oil, noted Sybiha. The Putin military machine must rid itself of its primary source of funding, as it poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to the global security architecture.According to FREEДOM: 'Together with my colleagues in the 'Group of Seven,' we sent a strong political signal of support to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister for achieving a just and lasting peace based on Ukraine's sovereign decisions. We are working to create strong security guarantees that will contribute to the protection and resilience of Europe,' Tajani said.
Ukraine will receive military assistance from Canada. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney shared the expenses of 2 billion dollars for military assistance, which will help support Ukraine under the G7 agreements. In December, 1 billion and 440 million of this amount will be directed toward expanding the arsenal of the Ukrainian army. The Ukrainian foreign minister urged G7 states to increase pressure on Russia to achieve peace and relieve the situation in the region. The international community's response to Russia's activity in Ukraine is becoming increasingly resolute, which may affect the further development of the situation.'Moscow leads a totalitarian axis together with North Korea and Iran. Transatlantic and Indo-Pacific security are directly linked. We must demonstrate our strength to Russia now in order to contain it tomorrow,' emphasized the head of Ukraine's foreign ministry.
