Ukrainian Specialists Head to the Middle East

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the deployment of the first group of Ukrainian specialists to the Middle East to train Gulf nations in counter-drone warfare. This deployment is scheduled for March 8, 2023. This move forms part of Ukraine's efforts to provide security assistance to countries in the region. Ukraine has gained extensive, battle-tested experience in drone warfare since Russia's full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

Zelenskyy also noted that Kyiv is prepared to supply Middle Eastern nations with Ukrainian interceptor drones, drawing from surplus stocks not currently utilized by the Ukrainian military. This step underscores Ukraine's aim to bolster the defensive capabilities of its partners against modern threats like unmanned aerial vehicles.

Regional Security Challenges

Simultaneously, the president highlighted that Russia is providing assistance to Iran, including by sharing intelligence data.

This security support could strengthen bilateral relations and promote regional stability. Furthermore, the offer to supply interceptor drones indicates Ukraine's readiness to share its expertise and technologies with other nations, which could prove significant in the context of global security.
