Zelensky proposed the USA to replace Russian gas: what it means for Europe.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared initiatives that Ukraine offers to American partners in the energy sector. He emphasized the importance of banning the transit of Russian energy resources through Europe. The USA, for its part, confirmed its readiness to provide the necessary volumes of gas and oil to compensate for the absence of Russian supplies.

Zelensky also noted that Ukraine is ready to actively promote energy independence in Europe, utilizing its developed infrastructure and potential. Currently, negotiations are ongoing regarding proposals for projects in the gas sector and nuclear generation.
Tension between Europe and the USA over Russian resources
Not so long ago, the EU committed to stop purchasing Russian gas and oil by the end of 2026. However, contradictions arose between European leaders and the US president, when the latter accused Europeans of supporting the Russian economy through purchasing their oil. Senator Lindsey Graham also supported this viewpoint and urged Europe to completely abandon Russian energy resources.
Ukraine is actively cooperating with the USA to strengthen energy security in the region and exploring alternative energy supply sources for Europe. This cooperation will not only help Ukraine but also contribute to stability and security throughout the European region.
