Financial Aid for Ukraine's Independence Day
According to Novyny.live: A one-time financial payout will be distributed to various groups of Ukrainian citizens in 2026 to mark Independence Day. The initiative was approved through a resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on May 13, 2026, under decree number 602. Scheduled for disbursement in August 2026, the payments will be issued automatically, making the process straightforward for recipients.
Payment Amounts by Category
The amount each person receives will depend on their specific group. Here is the breakdown:
- 3,100 hryvnias for Ukrainians with special merits;
- 1,000 hryvnias for combatants;
- 650 hryvnias for families of fallen defenders;
- 450 hryvnias for war veterans.
People with disabilities will also receive financial support, with the following amounts:
- 3,100 hryvnias for those in disability group one;
- 2,900 hryvnias for group two;
- 2,700 hryvnias for group three.
Applications for these funds can be submitted at service centers run by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The program also extends to pensioners receiving lifetime monetary support, as well as recipients of housing subsidies or utility bill benefits who are not connected to military service.
Through this effort, the Ukrainian government aims to assist a broad cross-section of its citizens during a pivotal time for the nation, offering financial relief ahead of Independence Day.
