In honor of the Day of Unity, celebrated on January 22, the postal service 'Ukrposhta' will issue stamps featuring traditional clothing of Ukrainians from Kuban, Belgorod, and Kursk. This was reported by the company.

These stamps continue the series 'Ukrainian Folk Clothing', which was created in 2001. They are now dedicated to the anniversary of the signing of Volodymyr Zelensky's decree 'On historically populated territories in the Russian Federation'. It is noted that this decree was a reaction to the distortion of history and national identity of Ukrainians in the Russian Federation in the territories historically populated by them, particularly in Kuban, Starodub, Northern and Eastern Slobozhanshchyna.

'The Day of Unity is of great importance for all Ukrainians, as the term 'unity' combines the idea of unifying all territories of the country and the unity of all citizens regardless of nationality. The issuance of these stamps by 'Ukrposhta' contributes to restoring the truth about the historical past for the Ukrainian future,' the website of 'Ukrposhta' states.

The stamps feature the folk clothing of Kuban, Belgorod, and Kursk, worn on various holidays. Among them are 'Kursk. Yavdokha's Holiday', 'Kursk. Prokopy's Holiday', 'Belgorod. Easter', 'Belgorod. Kolodiy', 'Kuban. Holiday of Kin', 'Kuban. Holiday of George'.

All stamps in the 'Ukrainian Folk Clothing' series were created by the renowned artist Mykola Kochubei. They will be available for purchase starting January 22.

It is reminded that 'Ukrposhta' is considering the possibility of creating a postage stamp with the inscription 'The Budapest Memorandum is a ...'. This was reported by the company's CEO Igor Smilyansky.

This idea emerged after President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky's statement in an interview with American podcaster Lex Friedman, where he expressed negative views about the Budapest Memorandum, particularly on the ineffectiveness of the agreement and criticized world powers, the USA and the UK, which acted as guarantors of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
