Igor Yefimovich Smelyansky - Top Manager, General Director of Ukrposhta.

Place of Birth. Education. Born on October 6, 1975, in Odessa. He graduated from General Education School No. 1 in Belgorod-Dnestrovsky. In 1992, he enrolled at Odessa State Economics University, where he studied for three years.

In 1995, he moved to the USA with his parents and obtained American citizenship.

In 1999, he graduated from the School of Business of Pace University (New York) with a specialization in Accounting. In May 2005, he graduated with honors from the School of Business of Georgetown University and obtained a Master of Business Administration. He later obtained a law degree from the Law School of George Washington University.

Professional career. He worked as an accountant at Cantor Fitzgerald LP (1998-1999) and later as Senior Tax Manager at KPMG (1999-2001) at City Bank and various law firms.

From September 2005 to January 2008, Smelyansky worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Project Consultant Manager in Ukraine and Russia.

In 2008, he worked at Promsvyazbank as Director of Asset Integration.

He led the merger of PUMB Donhorbank in 2010-2011 and the merger of PUMB with Renaissance Capital Bank in 2014.

From January 2012 to December 2014, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group's Moscow office.

In 2015, he returned to New York and rejoined the auditing firm KPMG.

On July 1, 2016, he was appointed General Director of Ukrposhta, and on August 17, 2018, he signed a new three-year contract for this position.
