Ukrainians to Triple Pension Service Years: Who Qualifies for Benefits.
According to Ukrainian legislation, there is a right to account for insurance service years for receiving a pension at a triple rate. This right can only be claimed by certain categories of citizens.
The requirements for insurance service years to receive a pension increase every year to encourage citizens to engage in active work and postpone retirement for as long as possible. Persons with extensive service are provided with higher payments.
For different age categories, increased service requirements are established in 2025:
- To receive a pension at age 60 — at least 32 years of service.
- For a pensioner at age 63 — from 22 to 32 years of service.
- For persons aged 65 — no less than 15 years of service.
Right to Increased Service Years
According to information from the Pension Fund, deported citizens who were in special settlement have the right to service years accrued at a threefold rate.

Originals of the following documents must be submitted to the pension fund:
- passport;
- identification code;
- employment record book or other documents confirming service;

Ukrainian legislation provides the opportunity to increase pension service years and benefits for certain categories of citizens, helping to support those who experienced difficult periods in the past.
