Next week will be the most challenging for the energy system: frosts and new attacks are expected.
According to ТСН: The next week will likely be one of the most difficult for Ukraine's energy system. Electricity consumption is expected to rise due to a sharp drop in temperatures.
The situation in the energy sector
This was reported by MP Serhiy Nahornyak, a member of the Verkhovna Rada's Energy Committee, during a broadcast on the "KYIV24" channel.
Threat from the aggressor
The deputy noted that Russia may plan new attacks on Ukraine's energy sector when severe frosts are expected.
"With a high probability, the enemy will use this opportunity to strike again at the Ukrainian energy system," he expressed.
Warning from NEC "Ukrenergo"
The head of NEC "Ukrenergo" Vitaliy Zaichenko also warned that due to severe frosts, there will be less electricity. He specified that a drop to minus 23 degrees Celsius is not a critical factor, but large-scale strikes have significantly complicated the situation in Ukraine and led to forced electricity supply restrictions.
Thus, there is a serious threat to the country's energy infrastructure. In the event of severe frosts amid potential attacks from Russia, the energy system may experience significant complications. This situation requires attention and readiness to respond from all levels of government and the population.
