Ukraine needs real peace, and it is possible only from strong positions, - Zelensky.
President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his evening address on October 5, 2024, on the 955th day of the war, talked about preparations for important international negotiations and highlighted the successes of the Ukrainian military.
According to the head of state, there is currently active work by the teams of Ukraine, the USA, and other partners to prepare for the next meeting in the 'Rammstein' format. 'This week can be positive for our defense, for our vision of how the war should end. We will do everything for this, one hundred percent, we will do it,' Zelensky emphasized.
The president reported that political consultations will take place in the coming days between Ukrainian and international teams, including government officials, diplomats, and military representatives. The military points of the Victory Plan, which, according to Zelensky, 'can rapidly strengthen Ukraine, Ukrainian positions - our front first of all,' will be discussed.
Zelensky stressed the importance of ensuring reliable peace and long-term security for Ukraine: 'This is possible exclusively on the basis of international law and without any trade in sovereignty or territories. Just as provided by the Peace Formula.'
Separately, the president noted the successes of the Ukrainian military, particularly thanking the soldiers of the SBU's Special Operations Center 'A' for destroying Russian military logistics and targeting enemy military airfields. 'Every destroyed base of Russian military, every destroyed base of Russian aircraft, every destroyed warehouse with air bombs is saving the lives of Ukrainians and providing real support for the front,' Zelensky noted.
Finally, the president emphasized the need to convince partners of the necessity for more decisive steps, expressing confidence that this will bring the end of the war closer.
