Ukrainian Troops Outmatch NATO Forces in Drills as Middle Eastern Nations Seek Their Expertise.
Ukraine’s Military Achievements and the Middle East’s Demand for Advanced Tech
According to UATV: This report highlights the battlefield successes of Ukrainian forces during training exercises, alongside a growing interest from Middle Eastern countries in adopting Ukrainian counter-drone technologies. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pointed out that a single Patriot missile costs between three and four million dollars, while an Iranian drone is forty times cheaper. This stark cost difference underscores the strategic value of drones in modern warfare, a factor likely influencing regional nations seeking affordable ways to protect their airspace.
Intensive Military Drills and International Partnerships
Ukraine continues to conduct rigorous military exercises. In 2025, Ukrainian troops defeated NATO forces during naval drills held in Portugal. During the 'Yezh-2025' exercise in Estonia, Ukrainian pilots destroyed 17 pieces of armored vehicles. These accomplishments demonstrate the high level of training and operational capability of Ukraine’s military, which could be of significant interest to international allies.
In light of these developments, Ukraine has received six requests from Middle Eastern nations for assistance in securing their airspace.
“There is a signal from the American side, as well as from leaders of Middle Eastern countries, asking for help with protection,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated. He added that 'Ukraine has a full air defense system, except for anti-ballistic capabilities.' This indicates Ukraine’s readiness to share its technology to bolster the defense of countries facing aerial threats.
Additionally, Ukraine has expressed a willingness to collaborate with Israel. Zelenskyy declared:
“Israel has everything Ukraine needs, and Ukraine has everything Israel needs.”This points to a potentially mutually beneficial partnership that could enhance security for both nations amid modern challenges. Security expert Valeriy Yakovenko remarked: “If you don’t use the technologies developed in Ukraine, no matter what defense system you have, it will simply be overwhelmed.”
Overall, Ukraine’s military successes and openness to cooperation with other countries could become key factors in the global security landscape, particularly given the rising threat of drone technology. Supporting Middle Eastern nations may not only strengthen regional defense but also offer Ukraine new opportunities to integrate into the international defense framework—an increasingly urgent need as military threats escalate. Such collaboration promises mutual benefits, especially in light of the growing demand for modern air defense systems and countermeasures.
