Ukrainian Center in Ireland Closes Due to Cessation of Funding from the Red Cross.
According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian center in Ireland has closed due to the decision of the Red Cross to cease funding. The Ukrainian Ambassador to Ireland, Larysa Gerasko, emphasized that this center was of great importance to the Ukrainian community.
“There are various Ukrainian organizations here in Ireland that unite youth and middle-aged people. Unfortunately, today I am going to the closure of the Ukrainian center. The reason is that the Irish Red Cross stopped allocating funds for its maintenance. This is an unpleasant situation for us,” explained Gerasko.
Further Support for the Ukrainian Community
It should be noted that numerous Ukrainian organizations continue to operate in Ireland, supporting and developing the Ukrainian community. The Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland, Ukrainian Action in Ireland, and other charitable institutions are actively working, providing assistance to Ukrainian schools and collaborating in various counties of the country.
Closing the Ukrainian center leaves a vacuum in supporting Ukrainians living in Ireland. Despite this, the activity of other organizations indicates that the Ukrainian community continues to find ways for mutual support and development, adapting their lives to new conditions.
