Ukraine Awaits Its First Frosts and Drought: Weather Forecast for the End of September.
On Saturday, September 20, variable cloudiness is expected in Ukraine, with occasional rain and wind gusts. This is reported by 'Hromadske' citing the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to inkorr.com: According to meteorologists' forecasts, light rain is possible in the east and in the Sumy region. The wind will mainly be western and northwestern, with speeds of 7-12 m/s. The air temperature at night will fluctuate from 10 to 15°, while during the day it will rise to 19-24°. In Zakarpattia, Prykarpattia, and Odesa regions, the air may heat up to 27°.
Temperature Regime in Different Areas
At night, the temperature across the country will vary from 6 to 11°, while in the south and west it will rise to 9-14°. Daytime indicators are expected to be in the range of 18-23°, while in Zakarpattia, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions, they may reach 25°. In the Carpathians, the night temperature will be 3-8°, and during the day – 9-14°.
In Kyiv region and the capital, variable cloudiness is also forecasted, with no precipitation during the day. The wind will be northwestern, with a speed of 7-12 m/s. The average temperature at night will be 10-15°, and during the day – 19-24°; in Kyiv at night, the temperature may reach 11-13°, during the day - 20-22°.
Prospects for the End of September
After September 20, cold Arctic air masses will come to Ukraine. In the northern, eastern, and western regions, the first frosts on the ground may occur.
It is expected that the amount of precipitation will decrease – 20-40% below average indicators, which may lead to drought, especially in the Left Bank, and increase the risk of fires in low humidity regions.
On Tuesday, rains are forecasted in the west and south of the country, locally even with thunderstorms, while no precipitation is expected in the north and east. Daytime temperatures will fluctuate in the range of 20-25°, while at night – 10-15°.
The weather in Ukraine in mid-September is diverse and changeable, and significant fluctuations in temperature and precipitation should be expected at the beginning of autumn.This forecast indicates that residents of Ukraine should be prepared for changes and adjust their plans according to the weather conditions.
