According to inkorr.com: Ukraine continues to support transport and humanitarian services in areas located near the frontline, despite the enemy's attempts to destroy infrastructure and isolate these communities.

Visit of Oleksii Kuleba to Sumy Region

Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba emphasized this during his working visit to Sumy region.

'The enemy is specifically hunting trains, especially passenger ones — launching drones and hitting locomotives when they see moving stock. But we continue to provide connections even where shelling occurs. The safety of people is a priority,' Kuleba stressed.

Combined Transport and Safety

To support transport connections in the risk zone, a combined transportation scheme is used, which allows for rapid adaptation to the current security situation.

'To protect passengers and railway workers, modular shelters are being set up at stations. Ukrzaliznytsia is also working on additional safety measures for rolling stock and conducting round-the-clock monitoring of threats in all regions,' the Ministry of Development noted.

In the last month, more than 700 thousand passengers have used Ukrzaliznytsia services in frontline territories, of which over 43 thousand are in Sumy region.

Humanitarian Support and Postal Services

In addition to passenger transportation, Ukrzaliznytsia also provides humanitarian support through Food Train, which has already prepared over 2.6 million servings of hot meals for residents of liberated, frontline, and war-affected regions. In Sumy region, more than 60 thousand hot meals have been issued.

'Also, Ukrposhta is actively working in frontline communities — the only operator that has not stopped its activities even in close proximity to areas of active hostilities. Currently, 1338 stationary and 512 mobile offices are functioning. Postal workers deliver pensions, social benefits, and necessary services to the most remote localities. The safety of workers remains an unconditional priority,' the Ministry of Development reported.

Thus, Ukraine continues to provide necessary services in frontline territories, despite attempts by the enemy to hinder their activities.

In conditions of military aggression and constant threat, such measures are critically important for maintaining the morale of local residents and ensuring their basic needs. Humanitarian initiatives help maintain contact with people who need help the most, as well as support the functioning of important infrastructure in emergency situations.
