Four Extra Resort Trains Added by Ukraine's Railway Operator: Schedules and Destinations Unveiled.
Ukrzaliznytsia Boosts Capacity with Additional Services
According to TSN.ua: To handle rising passenger numbers, Ukraine's state railway company, Ukrzaliznytsia, has introduced four new trains and extended one route to the popular mountain resort of Yaremche. These adjustments will be in effect during peak travel dates in late March and early April, responding to increased demand for transportation.
Timing and Itineraries
Among the extra services is Train No. 207/208 — 177/178 running from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk, which will continue to Yaremche station starting April 2. Departure from Kyiv is set for 10:00 PM, with arrival in Yaremche scheduled at 8:30 AM. The return trip leaves Yaremche at 9:00 AM and reaches Kyiv by 7:54 PM. This train will operate daily, except on April 5, 6, 7, 20, 21, and 22.
Additionally, a regional shuttle, Train No. 812/811 between Yaremche and Vorokhta, will run from April 3 to 5, April 9 to 12, April 19, and April 27 to 29. These extra trains include sleeping cars that have been modified to offer seated accommodations.
Other supplementary services scheduled for March 29 include:
- Trains No. 220/219 connecting Kyiv and Dnipro
- Trains No. 289/290 linking Kyiv and Lviv
- Trains No. 168/167 between Lviv and Odesa
Train No. 243/244 from Kyiv to Lviv will run on March 30 and 31. These measures aim to improve passenger service and ensure comfortable travel conditions.
Rolling out these extra trains marks a key move for Ukrzaliznytsia, as it addresses the growing travel demand during holidays and vacation periods. This surge may also signal a revival of tourism in Ukraine, offering a positive boost to the national economy. The introduction of new routes and services is designed to ease travel and make journeys more convenient for passengers.
