Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held a video conference with Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin. At the meeting, important security and defense issues were discussed.
The main focus was on the current situation in the Pokrovsky and Kursk directions, as well as the presence of North Korean military personnel in Russia's Kursk region. The support for the development of Ukraine's defense industry by the United States was also discussed.
"Special attention was given to the further support of the US for Ukraine’s defense industry. On its part, Ukraine is actively developing its own production and is grateful to the United States for its assistance in this direction. Together with allies, we will continue to strengthen our defense, providing the Armed Forces with everything necessary," emphasized Umerov.
The Pentagon announced a new military aid package to Ukraine worth 425 million dollars. This package includes ammunition, missiles, equipment and weapons of various types, as well as medical equipment and spare parts.
