According to Espreso.tv: The Ukrainian government has approved a resolution to create the Ukrainian National Pantheon. The Ukrainian Institute of National Memory will develop the concept and structure, with the project funded through the state budget.
On June 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced draft legislation for the Pantheon’s creation. By July 1, 2026, the Verkhovna Rada passed the Law 'On the Ukrainian National Pantheon.' The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications will oversee its physical location. Funding for construction, maintenance, and operations will come from state resources and other sources.
How the Pantheon Will Be Built
According to Mykyta Poturaev, the Pantheon will be assembled in stages, involving scholars, the public, government bodies, and ordinary Ukrainians. This reflects a collective effort to create a memorial space that truly represents Ukraine’s history and culture.
