UNHCR Opens Financial Aid Registration for Displaced Persons in Konotop.
UNHCR Launches Cash Assistance Registration in Konotop for Displaced Persons
According to Novyny.live: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has announced the opening of registration for cash assistance for internally displaced persons and refugees in the city of Konotop, Sumy region. This registration, which began in late January 2026, offers vital financial support to many individuals facing difficult circumstances. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has created a significant need for such humanitarian aid programs.
To qualify for this aid, applicants must meet specific criteria. A key requirement is that the per capita income within a family must not exceed 6,300 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH). This threshold determines eligibility for the program. The cash assistance itself is set at 3,600 UAH per person for a three-month period, amounting to a total of 10,800 UAH for each family member over that term.
How to Register for Financial Assistance
To register for the financial aid, individuals must first schedule an appointment by calling 063 182 68 38. Appointments are available for January 23, 2026. This process is designed to provide crucial support for those enduring hardship due to the current situation.
UNHCR emphasizes that the financial aid is intended for internally displaced persons and refugees in need of urgent support.
