In Odesa, activists dismantled the Lenin order (video).

Today, September 28, activists in the city of Odesa dismantled the bas-relief of the Lenin order and the "Gold Star" medal from the 10th of April Square. This was reported by Dmytro Ganul, a public figure.
Activists emphasized that the Lenin order has no cultural value.

“Today, on the third attempt, the active public of Odesa dismantled two models of the Lenin order and the Soviet star, symbols that clearly fall under decommunization, and carry no cultural value. We did a favor to the local authorities, despite the administrative protocols from the police, the dismantling was carried out“, wrote the activist.
Recall that on September 22, Dmytro Ganul and the head of the NGO "Green Leaf" Vladyslav Balinsky tried to dismantle the bas-relief of the Lenin order and the "Gold Star" medal from the 10th of April Square. But the police drew up an administrative protocol on the men for petty hooliganism.
The head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper stated that a monument to the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin would be demolished in the city of Odesa. This decision contradicts the statement of the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, from August 23, in which he claimed that the monument could not be demolished due to its inclusion in the UNESCO registry as part of the cultural heritage.
