The head of the communications department of one of the military units in Odesa registered a subordinate for service, although he was working privately and did not even show up for work. As a result, the state lost over 250 thousand hryvnias. The court found the military officer guilty and imposed a penalty.
By adding false information about the work of a senior mechanic, the head of the communications department in Odesa created a fictitious employee who was actually engaged in private home repairs. This led to losses for the state of over 250 thousand hryvnias.
Punishment for the military officer
The military officer, who entered into a plea agreement, was sentenced to one year of probation supervision, a fine of 5100 hryvnias, a prohibition on holding leadership positions in state bodies for one year, as well as restrictions on leaving Ukraine without permission.
Recently, other offenses have also been uncovered in Odesa, including the arrest of a cadet with a psychoactive substance and the detection of bribery among officials.
