Drones attacked an oil depot in the Volgograd region: readiness for evacuation announced

According to ТСН: On the night of January 10, a drone attack occurred in the Volgograd region of Russia, resulting in a fire at the oil depot.

Governor Andrey Bocharov reported debris from a drone falling in the Zhukovsky district, which likely caused the fire at the site.

Evacuation of the population

Bocharov also noted that evacuation of residents from nearby buildings may take place if necessary. A temporary accommodation point has been prepared at School No. 2 in the Zhukovsky area. Preliminary data indicates that there are no casualties from the incident.

Drones shot down

The Ministry of Defense of Russia claims that 59 drones have been shot down over the territory of the country and in the annexed Crimea. Among them are 11 over the Black Sea, ten over the Krasnodar region, and three over the Moscow region, including one heading towards Moscow.

It is worth noting that explosions also occurred in Volgograd at the end of December. At that time, a fire broke out at the Lukoil-Volgograd Refinery, and Russia stated that 34 drones had been shot down over the Volgograd region.

This incident in the Volgograd region once again highlights the worsening tensions in the area and the activation of drone technology in the confrontation. The fire at the oil depot may pose additional challenges for local residents and the economy of the region as a whole. Recent incidents indicate that the security situation remains quite complicated.
