In Ukraine, an analogue of the FDA will be created: how drug control will change.
Proposal to create an independent drug regulator in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: People's Deputy Sergey Kuzminykh has initiated the creation of an independent drug regulator in Ukraine, similar to the American FDA. According to him, the launch of this control body in the field of pharmaceuticals may take place in 2027 after several years of preparation.
The national regulator must be legally independent and have clear mandates, financial stability, personnel reinforcement and competencies, a pharmacovigilance system, IT infrastructure, and other important aspects
Among the main advantages of creating such a regulator are the introduction of centralized quality standards, independent assessments of medical products, effective risk response mechanisms, increased trust in medicines, and the accelerated introduction of competitive alternatives.
Ukraine must adopt an approach to creating a body that directs the development of the industry based on science, ethics, and openness
The introduction of an independent drug regulator in Ukraine can be an important step towards improving the quality and safety of medicines for Ukrainians, as well as helping to integrate the Ukrainian system into European and global supply chains.
This initiative could significantly change the situation in the country's pharmaceutical market, ensuring greater transparency and control over the quality of medicines. We hope that further steps towards implementing this idea will be successful, as this will have a positive impact on the health of citizens of Ukraine.
