Emergency power outages in three regions: schedules are not functioning.
According to ТСН: In several regions of Ukraine, emergency power outages are currently being implemented, while the disconnection schedules are not functioning in three regions.
This was reported by the regional power companies and the National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo'.
"Due to the consequences of previous shelling, emergency outages have been applied in several regions by morning. The previously announced disconnection schedules by the regional power companies are currently not in effect. Emergency outages will be lifted immediately after the stabilization of the situation in the energy system."
On January 6, consumption restrictions were implemented in Ukraine, including schedules for industry and business, as well as hourly disconnections for all consumer categories.
Poltava Region
In Poltava region, an emergency power outage schedule was implemented at 9:37.
"On January 6, a command was received from NEK 'Ukrenergo' to apply the emergency disconnection in 5 phases."
Sumy Region
At 09:37, emergency disconnection schedules were also implemented in the Sumy region for phases 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The reason for the tightening of restrictions was damage to the energy system due to Russian attacks.
Kharkiv Region
In Kharkiv and the surrounding region, emergency disconnection schedules have also been implemented to stabilize the energy network.
"At the same time, hourly disconnection schedules continue to be in effect."
Situation in the energy system
On the night of January 6, the Russian army struck energy facilities in several regions with drones and artillery, resulting in subscribers in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions being left without electricity. The city of Slavutych in Chernihiv region was also left almost completely without power.
"In all regions of Ukraine, the need for energy conservation remains today."
The implementation of power outage schedules in Ukraine took place on January 6. The restrictions on capacity also apply to industrial consumers.
Expert Yuriy Korolchuk emphasized that light will not return quickly. Power outages may last at least until the beginning of March, as the energy system operates at the limit of its capabilities due to a sharp increase in consumption during winter.
The situation in the energy system remains complicated due to the negative consequences of military actions. Emergency outages will only be lifted after the normal operation of the energy networks is restored. It is important for consumers to adhere to the energy-saving regime, as this becomes extremely important for the stability of the entire system under conditions of increased demand for electricity.
