A unique bird appeared in the Odessa reserve.
In the National Nature Park "Tuzly Lagoons", a new species of bird was discovered - the desert wheatear. The park administration reported this.
Experts claim that new opportunities were created by extraordinary weather conditions.
After 2 days of strong northerly winds, many birds set off south, but on the salt marsh of the Dzhantseysky lagoon, a wheatear was recorded with strange behavior.
This bird did not fly far, but on the contrary, approached the observer and quickly ran, looking for insects.
"And it turned out to be not an ordinary wheatear, but a guest from the deserts of Asia or Africa - the desert wheatear. This is only the third record of this species on Ukrainian territory and a new, 266th bird species for the park!" - the scientists emphasize.
The park administration published a photo of the bird.
They advise distinguishing this bird from others - common, ash-colored, and bald wheatears.
Recall that ornithologists from Poland's Zielona Góra University warned about the possibility of a flock of parrots appearing in Poland. It turned out that thousands of parrots appear annually on the streets of Poland, which significantly exceeds previous estimates.
