Vadym Karpyak Joins the Airborne Assault Troops: Why the Host Switched Studio for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to inkorr.com: Television presenter and journalist Vadym Karpyak announced his decision to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing his words during a telethon.
Decision to Join the Defense of the Country
Karpyak admitted that he hesitated for three years regarding mobilization, but has finally decided to take action. He shared that since the beginning of the war in the East, he has felt the need to defend his country.
“Ever since 2022, when I was in this studio, I dreamed that when victory came, my broadcast would mark the moment of announcement of victory. But ultimately, I realized that victory needs to be earned personally by participating in the defense of the country,” he said.
Last Day at Work
The television presenter has already chosen the unit in which he will serve – the eighth corps of airborne assault troops. He also mentioned that today was his last day as a presenter, as he gets ready for mobilization.
“I love my children and don’t want them to grow up in times of war. I believe that each of us should not only talk about victory but also help achieve it. That’s why I decided to join the defense of the country. I have often said on-air that the Ukrainian army needs more fighters. So the time has come for me to become one of them. It's important to live as you speak,” he added.
Importance of Supporting the Army
Pavlo Palisa emphasized that even in the event of a ceasefire, mobilization will not stop, highlighting the need for constant support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, popular television presenter Vadym Karpyak joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, choosing to serve in the airborne assault troops. He explained his decision with the desire to participate in the defense of the country and the hope for a common victory. Moreover, Karpyak urged other citizens to actively support the army to achieve the shared goal.
