Nearly UAH 5 Million in Assets Seized from Former Kyiv Deputy Mayor Kuleba by Anti-Corruption Court.
Assets of Oleksii Kuleba Frozen by Court Order
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has ordered the seizure of property belonging to Oleksii Kuleba, valued at nearly 5 million hryvnias, amid corruption allegations. The freeze covers an apartment appraised at 4.4 million hryvnias and a parking space worth 520,000 hryvnias. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) initiated the legal action, seeking to have Kuleba's assets declared unjustified.
Kuleba's Government Roles and Activities
Oleksii Kuleba served as First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration in 2021. By 2023, he had moved to a high-level position as Deputy Head of the Presidential Office. According to available records, Kuleba entered into purchase agreements for the apartment and parking space, both located in Kyiv.
When asked about the situation, Oleksii Kuleba stated:
“I am ready to cooperate with the investigation.”
This indicates his willingness to engage actively with law enforcement as the probe unfolds. The case remains under active investigation by the relevant authorities, with further developments expected during the judicial process.
This asset seizure marks a significant step in Ukraine's ongoing fight against corruption, particularly given Kuleba's prominent roles within state institutions. It also underscores the intensified efforts of anti-corruption bodies to identify and probe potential misconduct among high-ranking officials. The outcome of this investigation could have substantial implications for Kuleba's future political career and for public trust in Ukraine's governance structures.
