VAKS released the former official on a 20-million bail: what is known about the case.
VAKS changed the preventive measure to bail
According to inkorr.com: The High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) has decided to change the preventive measure for the former head of the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) of the Khmelnytsky region. Now she needs to pay a bail of 20 million hryvnias. This was reported by the publication 'Glavkom', citing the court's decision.
This decision became possible due to a request from the detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. According to Ukrainian legislation, the detention period for serious crimes cannot exceed 12 months, and the suspect has already been in custody for 11 months.
- to appear at the requests of the investigator, prosecutor or court;
- not to leave Khmelnytsky without permission;
- to avoid contacts with employees of the Medical and Social Center and patients;
- to notify about a change of residence address;
- to surrender the passport for traveling abroad;
- to carry an electronic device for monitoring.
The detectives of NABU will monitor compliance with these conditions. It is important to note that the suspect is considered innocent until her guilt is proven by law.
Thus, the change of preventive measure indicates that the investigation procedure continues, and the court retains control over compliance with the bail conditions. This decision may affect the further stages of the investigation and court process, but the final decision on the guilt of the suspect is still ahead.
