Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi accompanied King Charles III to the Imperial College London's Trauma Research Centre. They discussed medicine, cutting-edge research, and rehabilitation for the wounded, as well as the use of British experience in treating combat injuries to aid Ukraine.
But I saw not only a desire to help but also a willingness to learn. Ukrainian doctors, paramedics, and military medics have gained unique experience over these years of war, which is becoming important not only for us but for the whole world. Ukraine, which has to save lives every day in extreme conditions, has become a laboratory of advanced medicine. We are not just taking - we are giving, sharing knowledge about tactical medicine, evacuation organization, treatment of mine-explosive injuries, and rehabilitation of amputees.
Zaluzhnyi thanked the King and all British friends for their support.
Recently, a conference of the International Educational Corporation took place in London, in which Valerii Zaluzhnyi participated. This event was an important step towards the development of education and science in Ukraine.
