In Odesa, teachers have not received the promised 2600 UAH: Hetmanets addressed the GPU.
Teachers' Address to the Verkhovna Rada
According to inkorr.com: The Head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmanets, received a letter from teachers in Odesa expressing their concern over the non-payment of the promised monthly supplement of 2600 UAH. Hetmanets emphasized that this situation concerns not only finances but also respect for educators who nurture our children, especially during these difficult times. He appealed to the Attorney General to investigate the circumstances.
“I appealed to the Attorney General to verify these facts and assess the actions of officials responsible for payments. If violations are confirmed, the responsible individuals must face accountability. Respect for the teacher begins with fulfilling promises.”
The teaching profession is one of the most important in society, so it is worth ensuring that teachers receive not only decent pay but also support and respect from the state. It is time to take action to address this issue, as the welfare of educators should be a priority on the agenda.
This situation underscores the importance of proper funding for education in Ukraine and reminds us of the necessity to uphold the state's commitments to teachers. It is crucial that all educational workers feel supported and fairly rewarded for their work in the face of modern challenges.
