UK Sends Ukraine 150 Drones and Over 350 Missiles: Full Breakdown of the Aid Package.
Britain Unveils New Military Assistance for Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: The United Kingdom has announced a fresh military aid package for Ukraine, which includes:
- 150 drones;
- More than 350 missiles, among them 100 for the Patriot air defense system.
Valued at £1.852 billion—roughly $2.45 billion—this latest contribution underscores London's ongoing commitment to Kyiv's defense efforts.
British Defense Secretary Dan Jarvis stressed the urgency of continued support, stating:
'Ukraine’s armed forces have battlefield momentum and need our backing. We must not let them down.' - Dan Jarvis
The package also allocates:
- $1 billion for two PEARL packages;
- $1 billion to supply 200,000 long-range 155mm shells;
- $650 million for 100 Patriot air defense missiles through the JUMPSTART system.
This new tranche of military aid is part of broader British efforts to bolster Ukraine amid the ongoing war. The delivery of drones and missiles aims to strengthen Ukrainian forces' ability to counter emerging threats on the battlefield.
As the conflict grinds on, the provision of modern equipment—such as drones and air defense systems—has become increasingly critical. These fresh supplies are expected to help Ukraine reinforce its defensive positions and enhance the effectiveness of its air defense, a top priority in the current environment. This aid package could therefore significantly boost the capabilities of Ukrainian troops in the near term.
