There is no heating and water in the Verkhovna Rada due to the aftermath of the attack on Kyiv.
According to ТСН: There is currently no heating or water supply in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, but there is electricity.
This was reported by Members of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak and Danilo Getmantsev.
“In the Rada (at least in the Committee), there is neither heating nor water. There is supposedly still electricity,”
— Zheleznyak noted on social media.
This information was confirmed by Getmantsev.
“Indeed, there is no water and no heating in the Rada. There is electricity, so we are on-site, we are working. Everything, like for people, is the same for us. Everything will be fine for both us and the people, and for Ukraine. Let's hold on,”
— said the MP in a video address.
The Aftermath of the Attack on Kyiv
Let us remind that on the night of January 9, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the region. As a result, emergency power outages were implemented on the left bank of the capital at the order of “Ukrenergo”, so stabilization schedules are currently not functioning. On the right bank, power supply continues according to schedules.
As a result of the night attack on Kyiv, four people were killed, and the number of injured rose to 25, including rescuers and medical personnel. Destruction from the attacks was recorded in six districts of the capital: residential buildings, a kindergarten, and other infrastructure were damaged. In the Kyiv region, the enemy attacked almost all districts, leading to fires in Brovary, Obukhiv, and Boryspil districts; in Brovary, a family with a five-year-old child was rescued from the rubble.
This situation further complicates the everyday life of Ukrainians, who are already facing other difficulties due to the war. The authorities urge citizens to be cautious and follow safety rules, as the energy situation may change. Several districts have already reported the need for urgent infrastructure restoration to provide their residents with basic needs.
