Ukraine's Parliament Set to Revise Budget: Military Salaries Could Rise to 30,000 Hryvnias.
State Budget Revision for the Armed Forces
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's parliament is preparing to amend the national budget in order to restructure military pay. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has announced upcoming discussions on a potential increase in financial compensation for Ukrainian service members. The matter is scheduled for review during tomorrow's plenary session.
Currently, the base salary for military personnel stands at approximately 20,000 hryvnias. Following the revision, payments could rise to over 30,000 hryvnias. With additional combat allowances and special bonuses, the total income for soldiers may reach as high as 300,000 hryvnias. This marks a significant step in addressing the financial needs of troops amid ongoing hostilities.
“We will provide details. The budget amendments are set to be reviewed tomorrow.”

This development signals that improving funding and conditions for the nation's defenders remains a top government priority. Notably, Ukraine has received 2.8 billion euros from international partners under the Ukraine Facility program, which could positively influence the government's capacity to raise military salaries.
Outlook for Armed Forces Funding
As a result, the parliamentary debate is expected to unlock new opportunities for financing Ukraine's Armed Forces and raising social standards for military personnel. Increasing salaries could serve as a crucial measure to boost morale and motivation among troops during the protracted war. It also underscores the importance of international aid in ensuring the country's stability and defense capability.
