Ukrainian veterans and their families will receive free sanatorium treatment: conditions in 2025.
Ukrainian participants in hostilities (UPH) and other privileged categories can undergo free sanatorium-resort treatment. This service is available not only to veterans but also to their family members and relatives of deceased soldiers.
Who can receive a free voucher
According to legislation, the right to sanatorium-resort treatment is granted to:
- Participants in hostilities - once a year for 21 days.
- Persons with disabilities due to the war - without restrictions once a year.
- Participants in military conflicts and relatives of deceased fighters - once every two years for 21 days.
The state not only covers accommodation but also expenses for travel to and from the sanatorium. If a person with a disability needs assistance, a free voucher is also provided to the accompanying person. If the privileged person does not use the voucher within a year, it can be transferred to the next year or a monetary compensation can be received.
How to obtain a voucher
First, you need to register at the social protection institution. Then the family doctor issues a medical certificate about the necessity of treatment.
With these documents, you need to contact social services at your registration or actual place of residence (for internally displaced persons), presenting the necessary documents.
- Medical certificate;
- Copy of passport and identification code;
- Application for a voucher;
- Document confirming UPH status, military ID, disability certificate, etc.;
- Documents confirming family ties in the case of family members of military personnel.
After submitting the documents, social service workers will provide consultation, offer a choice of sanatorium, and arrange a free voucher.
Ukrainian participants in hostilities and other privileged categories have the opportunity to easily receive free sanatorium-resort treatment. The state provides this opportunity to them and their family members to ensure the necessary rest and recovery after difficult experiences. It is advisable to take advantage of this service to improve the physical and psychological state of privileged individuals.
