Online Mobilization Deferral Now Available, But One Key Requirement Must Be Met
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian citizens with valid grounds for deferral from mobilization can now apply online, bypassing a visit to a Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). However, there is a critical prerequisite: the individual must already be officially registered with the military. Without this registration, obtaining a deferral is impossible.
Being on the military register is a mandatory condition for receiving a deferral. If a person is not yet registered, they must appear in person at a TRC. This means that if a citizen was not registered automatically by the system, a personal visit to the Territorial Recruitment Center is required.
As Vyacheslav Kyryda notes, 'the first step is to get on the military register.'
Vladyslav Derii adds that 'if this hasn't happened, then until you are registered for military service, you will not be able to apply for a deferral, neither online nor through the Administrative Services Center (TsNAP).' Therefore, citizens planning to seek a deferral must be aware of the need to fulfill this condition to avoid complications in the application process.
The Critical Importance of Military Registration
This development underscores the vital importance of military registration for citizens seeking a mobilization deferral. The new online procedure, while convenient, makes it clear that without meeting primary requirements like being on the register, citizens cannot utilize these new provisions. This policy is part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to streamline its mobilization process while maintaining accurate records. It may affect the number of people who can legally obtain a deferral and highlights the necessity for citizens to actively engage with mobilization procedures.
