Deferment Denied Over Parents' Tax ID Numbers: What Steps to Take.
Issue with Mobilization Deferment Application
According to Novyny.live: A man was denied a military service deferment because his parents' tax identification numbers were missing from the state registry. He had applied for the deferment to care for his mother, but the 'Reserve+' system rejected his request solely for this reason. The situation was further complicated by the fact that his father is deceased. This case highlights a common bureaucratic hurdle within Ukraine's digital mobilization system.
Legal Recommendations
Attorney Vyacheslav Kyrd advised visiting the tax service to update the information regarding the Taxpayer Registration Number. He emphasized that confirming the parents' tax IDs in the registry is essential for the deferment process. Separately, lawyer Vladyslav Derii suggested contacting the State Migration Service or the tax authority to have the data entered into the electronic registries, which could also help resolve the issue.
If a second attempt through 'Reserve+' proves unsuccessful, Vyacheslav Kyrd recommends going to a Center for Administrative Services (CNAC), which accepts documents for mobilization deferrals. Individuals in similar situations should be proactive in ensuring their data is current with the relevant authorities to avoid such rejections in the future.
This incident underscores the critical importance of having up-to-date information in state databases, as missing details can obstruct access to legal entitlements. Citizens are advised to prioritize timely updates to their personal records to prevent complications with deferments and other administrative procedures.
